  On 9th September 2020, Haier Young Dreamer healthcare series events made its first stop at the Qingdao Laixi Wubei Haier Hope School, the starting point of the Haier Hope School Project. In 1995, Haier donated CNY 380,000 to Haier's first hope school – Laixi Wubei Haier Hope School, marking the first step of Haier's unswerving efforts in building hope schools in poor areas of China. Over the past 25 years, Haier has been unceasingly devoted to the Project Hope in China. As of today, Haier has invested more than CNY 116 million in the construction of 325 hope primary schools and 1 hope middle school, covering 26 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in China. Among the enterprises that have joined the Chinese Communist Youth League Project Hope, Haier ranks first in the number of supported hope schools.

  At the “Project Hope 1989-2019” conference held by the Chinese Communist Youth League and the China Youth Development Foundation, Haier, with its long-term support and contribution, was awarded the accolade of “Project Hope 1989-2019 Outstanding Contributor”.

  The 30th anniversary of Project Hope “Better Education X.0, New Education Ecosystem” and the opening ceremony of the 300th Haier hope school was held at Mayuan Village, Xihe County, Longnan City, Gansu Province. At the ceremony, Haier donated 6 million CNY to 2019 Haier hope school projects. Among the enterprises who have joined Chinese Communist Youth League Project Hope, Haier has supported the construction of the greatest number of hope schools, over 300 of them, and over 110 million CNY in capital injection. By adhering to the principle of “Sincere Forever”, Haier has taken on its social responsibilities to expand and optimize education resources according to the needs of children. Haier aims to utilize the constantly-iterated education ecosystem and build a bridge for children toward a better life. Leaders of the China Youth Development Foundation, the Shandong Provincial Committee of the Chinese Communist Youth League and the Qingdao Municipal Committee of the Chinese Communist Youth League were also present at the ceremony.

  Haier Group, in association with the Heibei China Youth Development Foundation, held the “3rd Young Dreamers, Graduation Season” program at Sumuying Haier Hope School, Lanqi Township, Longhua County, Hebei Province. At the event, excellent alumni were invited to give inspiring speeches and were awarded exclusive Haier hope school graduation certificates. This was the first time Haier Group conferred exclusive graduation certificates to students graduated from Haier hope primary schools. With this certificate, holders can enjoy special treatment when they make purchases at Haier franchise stores or Shunguang appliance stores. Haier also set up an interactive platform for hope school graduates and their families.

  Haier Group, in association with the Qingdao Municipal Committee of the Chinese Communist Youth League, held a public welfare event “Better Education +” at Jiangshan Haier Hope School in Laixi City. This event featured a theme of “Co-create a Public Welfare Ecosystem, Co-share Better Education”. During this event, Haier not only made donations to the children but also launched an online eco-platform “Haier Public Welfare”, which has attracted attention from all sectors of society. This platform marks a further step since the first launch of the “Better Education +” initiative on 20th June, and the fusion of the Haier IoT ecosystem and social welfare.

  The first event of the “Better Education +” initiative with the theme of “Better Education · Healthy Development of Children” and the completion ceremony of Bianyuan Haier Hope School was held at Jihehai Haier Hope School, Bianyuan Township, Feicheng County, Taian City. At the ceremony, Haier Group announced a donation of 6 million CNY to the Shandong China Youth Development Foundation, reaching 100 million CNY in total donation.

  The Haier Group “Revisit My Primary School” program, with a theme of “Flying Hopes, Sharing Dreams”, and the launching ceremony of Dream Station were held in Wentang County, Hebei Province. “Haier Dream Station” is a youth-caring public welfare project initiated by Haier and its franchise stores in China. This project aims to improve education conditions and physical and mental health of children by donating smart TVs, smart drinking machine and books to hope schools and provides access to some of the hardware resources and services of franchise stores. Through “Dream Stations”, children will have access to systemic education resources and remote education services available on Haier smart TVs.

  The Haier hope school “Make a Wish, Realize Your Dream” volunteer program was recognized as a Model Volunteer Program in the Shandong 2017 Four Hundred Best Volunteers Competition.

  The Haier franchise store “Young Dreamers” public welfare program and the Haier 2017 Hope School Donation Ceremony were held at Yanghe Township, Jiaozhou City. “Young Dreamers” is a national program jointly initiated by Haier Group and the Qingdao Municipal Committee of the Chinese Communist Youth League. This program will benefit thousands of students in Haier hope schools and encourage them to pursue dreams.

  Yucheng Hope School funded by Haier Group was officially completed. To celebrate the completion, representatives of Haier Group, the Shandong Provincial Committee of the Chinese Communist Youth League, the Shandong China Youth Development Foundation and the Qingdao Municipal Committee of the Chinese Communist Youth League visited Yucheng Hope School and donated textbooks of different grades, stationery and winter clothing, etc, to the students. The Chinese Communist Youth League Committee of Haier Group also donated a refrigerator to the school, in an effort to build a Haier Love Canteen. This the 246th hope school Haier has supported.

  Tancheng Haier Hope School was officially completed in Linyi City, Shandong Province. This school, located in Liwuhu, Quanyuan Village, Tancheng County, is the 1000th hope school in Shandong Province and the 206th hope school Haier has supported. Leaders of Shandong Province, Linyi City, Tancheng County and Haier Group attended the completion ceremony and witnessed the important moment with all the teachers and students. A commemorative plaque of the 1000th hope school was also unveiled at the ceremony.

  Jiaoxi Haier Hope School was completed in Jiaozhou, Qingdao City. Leaders of the Qingdao Municipal Committee of the Chinese Communist Youth League, the Jiaozhou Municipal Committee and Haier Group presented the competition ceremony and unveiled the Haier Love Computer Room. To date, Haier has supported the construction of the largest number of hope schools in Chinese Communist Youth League Project Hope.

  The China Youth Development Foundation held the 25th Commendation Conference of Project Hope in Beijing. At this conference, Haier Group was conferred a “Project Hope – Outstanding Contributor Award” for its long-term contribution to Project Hope and its proactive exploration of new public welfare models in the internet era.

  Zhaomaotao Haier Hope School was completed in Haixing County, Cangzhou City, Hebei Province. 130 students will receive education in 6 classrooms and enjoy a happy student life in the school. This marks the 200th hope school funded by Haier.

  Haier unveiled the hope school in Yingjisha County, Xinjiang Province. At the opening ceremony, Haier donated 6 million CNY to the China Youth Development Foundation for the construction of hope schools in 2013.

  Xindian Haier Hope School in Panlong Township, Liangping County was completed, covering an area of 2776 square meters. The 400 square-meter teaching buildings provide 200 places for students in six villages of Panlong Township, Daguan Township and Baijia Township.

  Yangchang Haier Hope School was completed in Longli County, Guizhou Province. Additionally, Haier Group donated 26 computers worth 80,000 CNY. Other donors provided stationery and sports goods worth 3,000 CNY to 400 students. Another 3,000 CNY were allocated to 30 poor students to support their studies.

  Zhangfangxiang Haier Hope School was unveiled in Shanghai County, Shandong Province. Haier Group donated school bags, stationery, books and other school supplies to the students.

  Haier American Hope School was completed in Lijiacaobo Village, Malianzhuang Township, Laixi City. The project has improved the learning environment for over 200 students in the rural area.

  Bangdong Haier Hope School was completed, making it the 165th hope school built by Haier Group. It is also the 7th hope school built in Guizhou Province by Haier Group.

  Fuyuan Haier Hope School was completed in Zhanhua County. 361 students and 25 teachers moved from one-storey houses to new teaching buildings.

  The foundation stone laying ceremony of Yingjiang Haier Hope School was held in Yunnan Province, which shows that Haier has fully honored the promise of “One Gold Medal, One Hope School” made at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

  Bayiawati Haier Hope School was unveiled. This school is located in Bayiawati Village, Yuepuhu County, Kashi District, the most western part of China.

  Sichuan Beichuan Haier Chenjiaba Middle School funded by a 10 million investment by Haier came into operation. Haier announced that it will continue to support the disaster area, Beichuan County and Chenjiaba Middle School, and will work with the local government to transform Haier Chenjiaba Middle School into a model school.

  Liujiazhuang Haier Hope School was unveiled in Jimo, Qingdao City. This is the first Haier Olympic Hope School that comes into operation.

  The foundation stone laying ceremony of Zhuanbu Haier Hope School was held in Yinan County, Shandong Province, making it the first Haier Olympic Hope School.

  The 17-day Beijing Olympic Games were successfully concluded. After athletes Zou Shiming and Zhang Xiaoping won two gold medals in Olympic boxing, the China Sport Delegation won a total of 51 gold medals, ranking first of all participating countries. In the meantime, Haier's “One Gold Medal, One Hope School” project was carried out all over China – 51 hope schools in 25 provinces of China, including 15 schools in Beichuan County, Sichuan Province, the earthquake disaster area. Over 40,000 children in poor areas have access to “hopes” and begin to receive education in new schools.

  The CEO of Haier went to the disaster areas in Sichuan and visited the children temporarily sheltered in Jiuzhou Stadium. With the approval of the Board of Directors, Haier Group decided to donate 10 million CNY to the construction of one middle school in Beichuan County.

  The launching ceremony of the Haier Supports China Sports Delegation at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and the Haier Olympic Hope Schools Project was held in Beijing. To commend the fighting spirit of Chinese athletes, Haier Group will donate whole sets of home appliances to gold medalists and launch the Haier Olympic Hope Schools Project. Under this project, Haier will built one hope school for each gold medal won by Chinese athletes and bring the Olympic Spirit and hope to children in hope schools.

  The Haier Olympic Project Hope was launched in Lingshan Mountain, Jimo, Qingdao City. At the ceremony, Haier donated a Haier Olympic Project Hope fund to the Qingdao China Youth Development Foundation.
